Theme of Activities: Sping

This month we studied all about spring. We have been very busy preparing for our spring musical and learned a lot of new songs. We celebrated Hina Matsuri by making cool newspaper hats and we got special snacks. We love spring and look forward to playing at the park when the weather gets warmer.

Circle Time:

In circle time, we learned many new words related to spring, such as cherry blossoms, picnics, flower petals and lambs. We talked about what we want to do in spring and where we would like to travel. We learned many new spring songs in preparation for the spring party and used our exercise song to keep up healthy.

Morning Activity:

We have spent our mornings doing spring activities. In art, we made paper plate bees, newspaper flowers, and toilet paper roll butterflies and caterpillars. In science, we learned about the water cycle, the lifecycle of a frog, and about plants. We changed the color of flowers by putting the stalks in colored water!! All the children have finished their math books and we have continued working on our language books. We made yummy snacks for the spring party too!

Afternoon Activity:

Our afternoons have been very busy practicing for our spring musical. All the children have done a fantastic job learning their lines and the songs/dances. We hope you will enjoy our spring party. The weather has been getting warmer so we have been spending our free time playing in the garden.

Good bye and good luck to Tomomi, Haruka, Sota, Jerome, Riho, Mashal, Leyla, Sayaka, Atsuhiro, Toshihiro, Yahiro and Rintaro. We will miss you!
