Newsletter October Theme of Activities: Autumn This month we studied all about Autumn and Halloween! We have had a fabulous time learning all sorts of spooky things and enjoying the beautifully cool autumn weather. We are really excited about our Halloween Party too! Circle Time: In circle time we learned lots of new vocabulary and concepts including things like autumn harvests, magic cauldrons, full moons, werewolves and the grim reaper. We were busy practicing our Halloween songs and dances too, we hope you enjoyed them at the Halloween Party. Morning Activity: We did many fantastic activities this month. In art, we made paper mache jack o lanterns, Frankenstein's, ghosts, witches and vampires, fingerprint trees, squirrels, stain glass Halloween things and squirrels. In language, we continued with phonics books and implemented Halloween language. In science, we looked at colors in a leaf, made cauldrons and magic potions and learned about spiders and skeletons. In maths, we did lots of Halloween counting, dot to dots and sums. We made chocolate spiders too. Afternoon Activity: In the cool weather, we have played at the park and watched the leaves change color. We have learned many fun Halloween games too. Miscellaneous:
