Newsletter July Theme of Activities: Summer This month, we studied all about summer. We practiced very hard for the summer party and learned our summer musical perfectly in just 3 weeks!.We learned the hula too! We finally harvested our spring vegetable garden and made a healthy summer salad, and on the days it was sunny, we splashed about in the pool. It was a very fun month! Circle Time: In circle time.we learned many new words about things we associate with summer, including fireworks, rollercoasters, waterslides, festivals, snow cones and theme parks. We talked about things we like about summer and what we are going to do this summer vacation. We practiced many new summer songs that we performed at the summer party too, and we love the new exercise song. Morning Activity: During the morning this month, we made some fabulous crafts in art to decorate the school including 3D sparkly starfish, colorful paper plate fish and under the sea paintings. We continued with our language and maths books, made party invitations and delicious salad and did a science experiment about floating and sinking. We made stars for Tanabata. Afternoon Activity: What a rainy month! On the afternoons that were sunny, we played in the pool. We love having water fights and playing with our water guns! We also played many summer themed games, practiced for our summer party and read lots of books in library time. Miscellaneous: Happy Birthday this month to Shogo, Moosa, Mashal, Yuya and Kazue! We hope you enjoyed our summer party. We think everyone did a great job! Have a super fun and safe vacation, see you in September. Ask us About: What is our favorite kind of ice cream?
