Theme of Activities: Transport

This month we studied about all the cool kinds of transport. We learnt how many kinds.of transport work and we also did experiments where we could watch some of our favorites..Since it is spring we have planted some flowers and vegetables in the garden and we look forward to watching them grow and eating our vegetables!! We celebrated Hanami by having a picnic at the park.

Circle Time:

We studied the names of many kinds of transport in circle time. We have also talked about where we see these kinds of transport, who uses them and how they work. We learned how everyone gets to school and what kinds of transport we like. We have lots of new songs about transport which we enjoyed singing.

Morning Activity:

We did lots of exciting activities this month related to transport. In science we learnt how airplanes and boats work by experimenting with ones that we made. We also talked about what transport will be like in the future and drew crazy pictures of what we think this transport will look like. In math the younger class has been practicing counting, connect the dots and matching. The older class has been practicing addition, as well as doing mazes, connect the dots and graphs. In language we made a mini book about transport, and practiced writing. The older class also completed crosswords and worked on spelling. In art we were busy making mobiles, cars, parachutes and puzzles.

Afternoon Activity:

Since the weather has been so fantastic this month we have spent lots of afternoons playing at the park. Everyone loves playing together there. With the cars we made in art class we enjoyed having car relay races!!

Miscellaneous:

Happy Birthday to Ayu, Atsuhiro, Leyla, Riho, Momoka and Pine.

We had a fantastic time at the Hanami party. Thank you so much to everyone who came.
